Non-traditional colors

After months of making red-and-green Christmas cards, I was inspired to break out of the mold by this super cute image from Scribbles Designs. I knew I wanted to feature the image in a large format to show off all the fun details, so that gave me room to add some color details as well. I used lime green, pink and turquoise, and did a little ombre treatment as well.
The scene is colored with pencils, with a fine-tipped marker to color in the Frosty's Christmas Trees sign. The lights are colored with Spica pen, and the poles with silver gel pen.
To finish it off, I stamped the sentiment in Ranger Stream ink, and added a metal Christmas tree embellishment.
